Welcome to the BRSA

Meet the team/story:
We are currently in the process of setting up our organization with more than 25 interested members and more to come. Recently, rampant deforestation has occurred within our area as suburbanization occurs, destroying and eradicating our local biodiversity. To combat this, we decided to bring biodiversity into the suburbs, creating mini ecosystems capable of supporting species displaced by suburban growth. We did research and discovered the importance of keystone species such as goldenrod and milkweed in our ecosystems, which we plan to include in our seed kit as part of our Bay Area Biodiversity Network project to strengthen our ecosystem.
Our mission is to restore native biodiversity in the greater Houston area and spread awareness about biodiversity and the dangers of deforestation.
Right now, we are working on creating easily accessible seed kits to replenish biodiversity in our community. We also raise awareness for biodiversity through our social media pages and plan to write articles and educate the public on the topic.
Bay Area Biodiversity Network-Date: TBD
Will post updates soon
